Nice to meet you, I'm Mary!
I believe that art is one of the most authentic ways someone can express themselves; therefore, I want to get candid here about who I am and what I am all about.

I am inspired by whimsy and playfulness. I love to combine my fine arts background and skill set with playful, silly, and colorful subject matter and materials. It reflects who I am and the motivation behind why I create, to bring happiness to others.
I feel that through my methods of making, I am able to visually represent the emotions and importance of everyday objects, rituals, and relationships. I often highlight girlhood in my work, attempting to explore the intersection of beauty and deep emotion that coexist with fun and joy, which I recognize in my experiences as a young woman and in the lives of people close to me.
A little more about who I am! I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Art and a minor in entrepreneurship. I am a lifelong artist, hiker, and dog lover (yes, I know I am cheesy!)

Currently, I am living in Eugene, Oregon. You will find me swimming in the Willamette River, thrifting for DVDs of my favorite movies, cooking for my loved ones, hiking a mountain, hunting for trinkets, and making coffee! (and obviously making art too!)

In 2024, I interned at the Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery! I am passionate about curation and art marketing as well as creating. Art is as important as the communities it reaches.
